iPad 2 Image Leaked on the Internet

Folks over at BGR have got hold of the above iPad image from a tipster, who has claimed it as iPad 2. The leaked iPad 2 image has the rear image capturing camera and its design pretty much resembles the first generation iPad. Apart from this, we don’t think there is any considerable change in the leaked design.
Some developers have confirmed that Apple’s next iPad device will feature two cameras i.e. front and rear facing camera. Previously, it has been rumored that iPad 2 will have thin design, large display and SD Card support, but we will have to wait and see what Apple is going to introduce in the event.

Now available Olive Pad gets a price drop

OlivePad, the 3.5G Android tablet from Olive Telecom which was launched last year, has just got a price drop to Rs 21,500from its original price of Rs 25,990.
I guess this price drop was imminent after iPad was launched in India last month and Galaxy Tab got a price drop to Rs 28,000, to remain competitive. However, there is a catch, this special price is available only on the Olive telecom Webstore.

Foxconn to ship iPad 2 Devices in February 2011

Apple is now focusing primarily on the next version of iPad a.k.a. iPad 2, which is rumored to be launched in the first quarter of 2011. According to Digitimes report, Apple will receive its first shipment of iPad 2 within the next 100 days from Foxconn Electronics.

Foxconn has its device manufacturing plants in China and they may deliver 400,000-600,000 iPad 2 units in the given period.
The sources pointed out that the iPad 2 will ship as soon as the end of February in 2011. Apple originally planned to start mass production in January, but because the device’s firmware is currently still in testing, Apple has been postponing the schedule. Since Foxconn’s new plants in Chengdu are still in pilot production, iPad 2 will be mainly supplied by its Shenzhen plants, while the company’s upstream component partners have all been notified of the shipments schedule.
