Motorola DROID X. Released about half a year after the Motorola DROID started Androidmania, the Motorola DROID X brought a big 4.3 inch screen to Verizon and for a time, was the carrier's flagship smartphone. Now that the model has been surpassed by a sequel and the recently launched Motorola DROID BIONIC, Motorola DROID RAZR and Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX, the "X" is the subject of a new Motorola soak test. The last update for the Motorola DROID X took place in August to repair bugs found after the device was updated to Android 2.3.

re North Carolina University Researchers have discovered holes created through manufacturer modification of Android that makes it possible for malicious apps to access information for which they do not have explicit permission from the user.
