How to install Android 2.2 Froyo on Xperia X10? [Custom ROM]

Sony Xperia X10 users are quite disappointed these days, as there won’t be Android 2.2 update for their devices. Well, if you want to install Android 2.2 on Xperia X10, you can still do it with Custom ROM.
Yes! Developers have eventually developed Android 2.2 Froyo ROM for Xperia X10 phones. XDA developer, zdzihu, has come up with FreeX10 Froyo 2.2 ROM, which is based on AOSP and CM sources.

According to the developer, FreeX10 is a clean, fast and stable ROM for Xperia X10. So, if you’re really keen to get Android 2.2 on your device, try the following installation guide.
Note: FreeX10 ROM is released as beta software and it doesn’t support some of the applications. In order to get all the apps and features, you will need to wait for some more time.




How to install Android 2.2 Froyo Custom ROM on Xperia X10?
Requirements:
  1. Rooted 2.1 ROM
  2. Working xRecovery & FreeX10 ROM
Steps to follow:
1. Download xRecovery and FreeX10 Froyo from above mentioned link.
2. Copy-Paste downloaded ROM file in your phone’s SD card.
3. Flash the zip package via xRecovery.
4. Reboot your device.
5. After the first boot, flash (if required) Google Apps via xRecovery.
Done! Enjoy Android 2.2 Froyo on Xperia X10.
