Bell Canada Releases BlackBerry Style And Samsung Rugby II

Bell has just launched two new phones today, the Samsung Rugby II and the much talked about BlackBerry Style 9670. The Style 9670. It’s going for $49.99 on a three-year contract, which is not only cheaper than the comparable BlackBerry Torch and Bold 9780. The Bell Samsung Rugby II retails for $99.95 on contract, or $299.95 without contract.


The Rugby II is the first ruggedized mobile device to be offered through Bell and operating on the company’s high-speed HSPA network. The device is built to resist water, dust, and humidity; and comes with a large keypad for easy operation in challenging work environments. It features 2.2inch internat 240×320 resolution display, 1.3-inch external screen, 2-megapixel camera, A-GPS, noise cancellation, and large easy to use keypad ideal.
The BlackBerry Style 9670 is a clamshell style phone with a 2.7 inch internal display, 2.0 inch external display and a full hardware QWERTY. Other features of the Style 9670 include a 5 megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom and video recording, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB, 512MB internal memory, microSD card slot and a 1150 mAh battery. The Style dimensions are 96 x 60 x 18.5 mm when closed and 175.5 x 60 x 18.5 mm when opened. The handset also ships with an 8GB microSD card.
