Samsung SCH-i520 4G Powerhouse Coming to Verizon Wireless

Back in the mid of December it was reported there was a new Samsung smartphone that will go for Verizon, but there was no name for that phone. Today an unnamed Samsung device’s pictures widely believed to be the SCH-i520 appeared at CES. This up coming Samsung SCH-i520 was confirmed today for Verizon. Powered by Android 2.2, the Samsung 4G LTE smartphone is equipped with Google Mobile services, including Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and access to more than 100,000 applications on Android Market. The Samsung 4G LTE smartphone will even offer a virtual QWERTY keyboard equipped with Swype technology, and Samsung and Verizon Wireless promises to preload popular LTE-specific applications

The Samsung SCH-i520 is designed with a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera. Skype mobile will be fully integrated for video calling. The Samsung SCH-i520 will provide access to the Media Hub, which offers a robust collection of premium movies and TV episodes from some of the biggest entertainment companies for purchase and rental

-Android 2.2 ( should get android 2.3 update soon after it is released)
-1GHz processor
-4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 480 x 854 pixel resolution
-8 megapixel rear-facing camera
-1.3 megapixel front-facing camera
-HDMI-out port and a set of physical Android keys on the front
It looks like the 4G and video will be the new must have features of 2011 and Verizon is ready to accommodate.
