Samsung Galaxy S may or may not get Gingerbread update

That’s what I call a quick change of plan. Last time, Samsung was queried for its Gingerbread update plans for Samsung Galaxy S, they gave a reply which sort of gave the impression that the high selling Android phone may not get the Android 2.3 update. But that’s a thing of the past as Samsung India has announced via their Twitter account that Galaxy S will be getting the Gingerbread update. The story gets even more interesting as you will see in the next paragraph.
Samsung India posted not one but two tweets for confirming the Gingerbread update for Galaxy S. Interestingly, both of the tweets linked above, have been removed which makes us think what we were thinking before, Galaxy S is not getting Gingerbread. Or may be they need more time to address this burning topic. But if the former case occurs, here are the reasons why Samsung will not update its flagship device to Android 2.3.
